On the corner where the Parson lived. In 1867, at the four corners of Elm Street, Glover Road, Water Street and Church Street, the Congregational Church built their parsonage on the corner facing their church. The parsonage was converted from a private residence to The Village Coffee House in the late 1990's, the coffee house sold after about eight years. The building stood empty during much of 2006 and 2007. Eddie and Lorie Seadale reopened the restaurant with a new name in May of 2007.

The Parson's Corner Restaurant offers hearty New England fare using only the finest ingredients and fresh local products whenever possible. Eddie and Lorie are committed to preparing all the food they serve in-house, including such hearty New England favorites as split pea with ham, corn chowder, seafood chowder and turkey vegetable soup. Salads are made individually to order. Always home-made are the chili, coleslaw, muffins. Your hamburger is hand formed to order by Eddie. For dessert choose from three flavors of Philadelphia style ice cream; Double Chocolate, Kickin' Coffee and Very Vanilla offered by the scoop, or as a brownie sundae big enough to share. All can be ordered with home-made hot fudge.

The atmosphere at The Parson's Corner is warm and neighborly. Your dining experience offers counter seating as well as your choice of tables or booths. Have a seat and chime in on all the local scuttlebutt or just sit at the counter and take it all in while you watch Eddie prepare your order. There's always something cookin' at The Parson's Corner.
